Works in progress versions of “Le Meilleur du Monde” have been screened at film festivals throughout Europe in summer/fall 2025, and will continue to screen at festivals until summer 2026. The film is expected to be completed by early November 2025 and will be distributed throughout Europe, West Africa, the U.S., and on streaming platforms in 2026. We are currently looking for an international sales agent.

Synopsis

Le Meilleur du Monde is an independent drama/comedy shot in France and Senegal. Told in French, English, Fula, and Wolof, the film follows Mouctar, a young Guinean migrant navigating life in Paris. When he joins a non-profit theater workshop, the trauma of his past surfaces—forcing him to face the truth behind his flight from home. This intimate debut feature explores migration, memory, and healing across continents and cultures.

Synopsis


What They Left Behind traverses the emotional and physical landscapes left in the wake of those who leave and those who remain. Filmed across Senegal, Morocco, the Canary Islands, Spain, France, Cameroon and Ivory Coast, this documentary blends intimate interviews, smartphone footage, and re-enactments to reveal what it means to move, to wait, and to survive between worlds. The film weaves together 7 stories connected by departure, separation, and longing.
